Running Numbers

Well it seems that the hot date 16 September or 916 has moved. Malaysia wont see a new government on 916 anymore. It could be longer according to DSAI. If it does not happen on 916 it could be on 920. DSAI cited the reasons being most of the MPs has been shipped out to Taiwan to 'learn farming'. They will only be back on 917.
We know that PR has 82 from 222 seats in Parliament. However 1 from that 82 is an independent who we do not know for sure whose side he is even though he was elected under the PAS banner. Lets just assume that he is with PR so PR has 82 and we need another 30 to get a simple majority to rule Malaysia on 916. But 49 of the 140 BN MPs has gone out to Taiwan until 917. So we should still have 91 BN MPs here in this country. But the 49 are mostly from BNBBC who sit in the back benches. Why DSAI concentrate on the BBC is a good question? Now that the 49 BBC has gone away, why doesn't DSAI tackle the 91 MPs who are staying put in Malaysia (may be 1 or 2 are overseas attending functions or on holiday). Anyway, say 90 MPs are here which represent enough number for DSAI to grab them and form a new government.
That is easy said then done. Perhaps DSN (Dato Seri Najib) already knew who would jump over to the other side. So he picked up everyone of them and send them to Taiwan to escape the exodus to PR. But come to think about it, is it not a stupid move. If some MPs want to defect they can do it wherever they are. But perhaps also, while in Taiwan they would not be allowed to contact anybody, making it impossible announce defection. Defection not in style (with media coverage and all) would not do, would it. So the MPs defection while in Taiwan is therefore ruled out.
Then 916 would not happen. This date is a tarikh keramat. 916 is the day Sabah and Sarawak joined Malaya to form Malaysia. Then DSAI cannot from a new government on Malaysia day. So by failing DSAI to form a new government on Malaysia day is an achievement to DSN. At least he can still be the TPM on 916. But now DSAI has mentioned that 916 could be delayed to 920 or any day for that matter. So the rakyat still can have a new Malaysia after 916.
One thing for sure is the humorous rumours that laid out the plan for DSAI to "topple" AAB starting from 905 to 916 is just rumours after all. According to the rumours today 910 AAB is supposed to announce his resignation. Ha.. ha.. ha.. it is very funny indeed.
No matter when the actual date is that DSAI takes over, does not really matter actually. The important thing is that the Rakyat is anxious to have new faces as their ministers. It would be nice to see the likes of DSTGH (Dato Seri TG Hadi) and LKS sit in the Malaysian cabinet. It would be really nice to see Hj Mat Sabu as our Internal Minister looking after the police and all (but he has to be appointed a Senator first).
916 may be off but we have other numbers to go by. DSN may be triumphant when sending the 49 BBC to Taiwan on 908 until 917 but the rakyat can wait for 920, 921, 922, 923, or whatever date it could be. The sight of DSN cowing the 49 BBC away is already a triumph to us..he he he
