Wajah-Wajah Perang Di Pakistan

Perang ini adalah perang untuk memenuhi tuntutan Amerika. Inilah janji Obama bila beliau jadi Presiden AS, bahawa bala tentera AS akan bertumpu ke Afghanistan dan Barat Laut Pakistan untuk memusnahkan Taliban (Tentera Islam yang berserban hitam).
Nampaknya tidak perlu AS melepaskan tenteranya di sana tetapi Pakistan sendiri mengerahkan tentera untuk memerangi rakyat sendiri di Swat dan kawasan sekitarnya. Dengan hanya gula-gula bantuan kewangan, Presiden Asif Ali Zardari bergegas pergi membunuh orang Islam di Lembah Swat. Berjuta orang awam terpaksa lari menyelamatkan diri. Pasarana dan ladang musnah.
Mahukah AS memberi duit untuk membangunkan semula kawasan yang musnah? Alasan yang akan digunapakai adalah jika pasarana dan ladang dibina semula, Taliban akan kembali meengambil kesempatan.
Rakyat marheinlah yang sengsara. Kanak-kanak Pushton (penduduk peribumi kawasan sempadan Pakistan Afghanistan) telah lama menderita dihimpit kemiskinan dan kini ditambah lagi dengan bala bencana perang di Lembah Swat pula.
Sejahat-jahat Presiden Musharaf dulu pun tidak pernah memerangi rakyat sendiri secara besar-besaran.. India pasti tersenyum senang kerana kaum yang boleh menyusahkannya jika perang Pakistan-India meletus, sedang diperangi oleh bala tenteri sendiri.
Yayasan AMAL Malaysia harus menghantar sukarelawan segera untuk membantu pelarian yang semakin parah untuk meneruskan kehidupan mereka.
