This is F23LQ Module. A story by itself in a different forum but the pictures below state a job satisfaction of a hardworking team. A constant headache for nearly one and a half year. With a lot of dedication and sacrifice, the module is finally ready for Load-Out i.e transferring the module from its construction place to the awaiting barge, to be transported to its resting place offshore.
The module being loaded on the barge, at its final stage. Note the water being pumped out. That is the ballasting work that is necessary to stabilise the barge and its load. As more loads are introduced onto the barge, more water is pumped out from its ballasting compartment in order for it to have more floatability. The tug boat at the end of the barge is working hard pushing the barge against the high tide water flow. It is exerting force to stabilise the barge against the current, so that oncoming module (on green boogies) could safely enter piggy-backed on the barge.
The module is finally reached its intended position and ready to be sea-fastened. From now on the sea-fastening team will be working night and day to ensure the module is adequately fastened to the barge and could safely stand its voyage to its final resting place at Central Luconia, Bintulu. It has been a hell of a job to construct this monster but it's a job well done. The satisfaction in seeing this baby on that barge is pure heaven.
This is the team that made it happened. Both SSB and BDEWC team were working hard to realize the project. There were curses, shouts, letters and threats as well as hugs and kisses in between but all is well at the end. Well done, Boys!!
